St Mary's Church, Ketton and
All Saints' Church, Tinwell
You’ll receive a warm welcome at St. Mary’s, we are a diverse Church family, and people of all ages have found a home here. Our worship varies from relaxed traditional to informal and exploratory. There are also opportunities through the year to explore your faith further. We are proud to be a true community Church and work closely with Ketton C.E Primary School, as well as being a key gathering place at special times such as Remembrance Sunday and Christmas. Our building is open all day every day for you to explore or for personal prayer.
Whoever you are, whatever you think or feel, believe or don’t believe, you are welcome.
History
St Mary’s church dates back to the 12th century. Since then there have been various additions to this beautiful Grade 1 listed structure made from Ketton stone, Barnack Stone and Collyweston stone slates. It really is a remarkable sight at all hours of day, night, Winter and Summer!
Famous church architects who work can be seen at Ketton include George Gilbert Scott, Sir Charles Nicholson and Ninian Cooper.
There is an illustrated guide book available from the Church for £3 but also many online resources. We particularly like:

Spire Lighting
It costs £15 to sponsor the spire lighting of St Mary’s church for one week, and can be a special way to mark a particular event, remember a loved one or some other special celebration.
We publish your dedications in the Parish Magazine in the relevant month so we will need your details by the 10th of the previous month to be on the safe side for making the print deadline.
Payment will now be arranged by using the parish’s giving code on line which we can send to you.
