Booking a funeral begins with approaching a funeral director. The funeral director will make the arrangements with the church and the burial ground or crematorium. They will coordinate the availability of everyone involved. Clergy and lay ministers who are licensed to take funerals, will conduct the service at church and/or the crematorium, burial ground or cemetery.
Once the time and date have been agreed with the funeral director the minister taking the funeral will get in touch with you and arrange to meet you and discuss the details of the service. This is also a pastoral visit and the minister is there to support you during this difficult time.
