Reflecting on the life of Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Welcome everyone to our Easter Service
In this service for Palm Sunday we concentrate on Christ’s entry into Jerusalem as we listen to the account given in Mark’s gospel.
A service for Passion Sunday the beginning of Passiontide, the two weeks leading up to Easter when we recollect the suffering of Jesus during the last days of his earthly life.
Mothering Sunday is so much more than simply Mother’s Day. It is a celebration not only of motherhood but of mothering – which is the depth of care, love and concern that we can all offer one another – and which has been so important over the last twelve months. That is why I think we can all enter into this celebration whatever our own family circumstances.
One feature of our lives over the last twelve months has been the importance of rules and regulations and the need to keep them. Today we are looking at the rules that God has given us to keep us safe in his love and in his ways.
This Remembrance Service was recorded earlier in the week before the lockdown.
The service is led by Revd Olwen Woolcock, Priest-in-Charge of the benefice of Ketton and Tinwell and with thanks to Sinclair Rogers, the Chair of the Ketton Parish Council for taking part in the service and to Alwyn Pollard, for his contribution on the organ.
On Sunday there were services at both All Saints, Tinwell and St Mary’s, Ketton. Below is a recording of the service at St Mary’s.
A short service of prayer and reflection for the feast day of St Luke.
A shorter service of worship this week. It is based on the ‘Parable of the Wedding Banquet’.
